Hi, I'm Joshua Bourton.
I’m a builder - not just of code, but of solutions that deliver. I’m in my final year of Computer Science at Durham, and my placement at P&G taught me what it truly means to take full ownership of projects. I've designed cloud architecture in Azure, managed data pipelines with Databricks, and rolled out secure, automated CI/CD processes for complex applications. Now, I’m excited to take on a graduate role where I can keep combining hands-on engineering with clear, focused delivery.
Professional Experience
My path to technology is built on two foundations: a deep understanding of engineering and a genuine passion for people.
My intensive year-long internship at P&G provided me with a robust technical skill set in cloud engineering and project management within a leading corporate environment.
But it's my experience outside of the traditional tech path that brings a unique perspective.
Teaching a class in Vietnam taught me to break down complex ideas for any audience.
Years of online tutoring honed my ability to mentor and guide.
And my time in retail developed a first-hand understanding of user needs and problem-solving under pressure.
Together, these experiences have shaped me into a developer who can not only build the product right, but also ensure we're building the right product.
